Giuseppe Torrisi awarded with The Young Scientist Awards are presented at the General Assemblies of URSI and at the URSI Atlantic Radio Science Conferences (AT-RASC) to recognize an international group of individuals who have made innovative contributions and discoveries in multidiscipline research related to electromagnetic fields and waves. The award concerns the studies for the PANDORA Project at LNS (Plasmas for Astrophysics, Nuclear Decay Observation and Radiation for Archaeometryproject).The results of his work find important application for plasma sources such as Superconducting Cyclotron Injectors or at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Sweden and AISHa (Advanced Ions Source for Hadrontherapy) at LNS. Another important appreciation for the LNS research and development team of sources and plasmas.
