I-LUCE (INFN Laser indUCEd radiations facility) will represent the new frontier of particle acceleration and new radiation production of INFN-LNS.
It will be based on the use of high-power (up to 1 PW), ultra-short (down to 23 fs) pulse laser systems that, focused on solid, liquid or gaseous materials will generate radiation with new and extremely interesting characteristics.

I-LUCE will be the first Italian open Users facility where researchers will have the possibility to perform experiments with laser-driven radiations and activities in the Warm Dense Matter (WDM) regimes generated with the available lasers beam lines that will be installed.

I-LUCE will have 1 Hz -10 Hz, 25 fs - 20 ps, 50 TW - 350 TW laser pulses that will represent the most powerful and flexible Italian laser available for researches in the field of basic sciences and in applications.
