The last tests on the ELIMED transport line (ELI-Beamlines MEDICAL and multidisciplinary applications) using proton and ion beams have been succesfully performed at LNS.

The ELIMED beam line, completely realized at the LNS, will be dedicated to the transport and selection of proton and accelerated ion beams using high power lasers that will be available in the European research infrastructure ELI (Extreme Light Infrastructure) in Prague.

"The design and construction of the line, says Pablo Cirrone - responsible for the ELIMED project - was possible thanks to the LNS physicists and engineers who believed in the company from the beginning and the professional contribution of the technical and administrative staff of LNS.
