A proposal to the PAC of GANIL is going to be submitted to test the EXCYT target-ion source assembly on SIRA.

December 2002
70 W of 20Ne at 50 Mev/amu have been extracted from the K-800 superconducting cyclotron. The new water cooled deflectors have been successfully tested even if the overheating of the septum caused a instability on the deflectors voltage. A new test is planned for the end of April.

November 2002
The installation of the beamlines in the two high voltage platforms is almost completed. Using the stops of tandem beams, according to the schedule, the platform services, the diagnostics, the computer control and the vacuum pumps will be installed.
